Your Properties
There are several different methods to handle properties at
your Web site. Choose the method that fits your budget and
your work style.
-
IDX Please see the section of our Web site devoted to this subject -
available from any of our main menu pages. It's just a hook-up
from your site to a broker reciprocity database, but you must be authorized by your
board/MLS for IDX. Having an IDX property search is the single most important feature of your Web site.
-
Update It
Yourself - A Database
of Properties The database for your own properties database is completely updatable (add/delete/change
properties and pictures) through your own admin screen. You can
see an example Web site Click Here. This example is our 'standard' database. If
you need something different, we can create it for you.
Notes
-
You can choose to
omit the search page for your database and instead connect
directly to the property list if you wish. The search page is
recommended only for agents who carry a large number of listings
- at least 30.
-
The 'featured
property' on the home page of the Web site is pulled from the
database - no extra data entry required.
-
Mapping of
properties leads people away from your site. We have included it
in the demo but will remove it from your database if you wish.
The way it is set up is dictated by the terms of use of the
mapping site.
-
All property pages
are fully integrated into your Web site and designed to match
the rest of your site.
-
It's EASY for even a
novice to update properties with our database.
-
You can learn more
about our databases by clicking on the Add A Database
link on the menu at left.
-
Update It
Yourself - Spot Editing If you don't carry enough properties for a database, you can now
- through spot editing - add/change/delete text and pictures on
one page of your web site without having to know html. Using the
Spot Editor is like using Word Processing. You can upload
multiple pictures per property if you desire. Example. Please note: if you carry more than a few
properties, it would be better to set up a database than to use
spot editing. A database keeps your properties organized for you
by price. With spot editing, you have to organize them on the
page(s) yourself; that can be a burden with many properties.
You can learn more
about Spot Editing by clicking on the Update It Yourself
menu selection at left. We offer a live, hands-on demo for those
who want to try before you buy.
- VisualTour.com
You create the tour content (a very simple
process using the VisualTour software) and then follow a wizard to upload to
the VisualTour server. Your site contains one permanent link
to all your properties at visualtour.com. No site maintenance is
required, but visualtour.com does carry a monthly charge. You must purchase the VisualTour software. For details
on purchasing at a discount, contact Allen Hainge Seminars—800-695-3794.
An added benefit of using visualtour.com is that all your
properties are automatically submitted to Yahoo classifieds.
This is a HUGE advantage to your sellers - and will likely
result in your selling more of your listings yourself. To see an example, Click Here.
Contact http://www.visualtour.com for pricing.
-
Magazine Format If you have a small number of properties and the inventory
doesn't turn over frequently, place them on your site in a
magazine format. This entails a photo and description for each
property. We charge you for hooking up each property when we do
it this way (as opposed to setting up spot editing whereby you
can do it yourself.
- Self-Maintenance -
FrontPage Template
We create a template page for you. You then update properties
yourself using Microsoft FrontPage which you purchase from Microsoft or any other software source that offers it. You should be an average+
computer user to attempt this method. FrontPage isn't rocket
science, but it does require an investment in learning.
